Job Description

Role & responsibilities Lead and manage the quality function from incoming raw materials, in process quality to delivery during sample manufacturing and at different verticals in body armor (HAP, SAP and OC) of FGs and post-delivery support so that customers receive the product to the highest standard of quality possible. Implement all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance Shall able to understand the specifications and perform quality checks. Respond to customer complaints and do the analysis to find the root cause and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures. Work with the Production team to suggest improvements to production processes that lead to overall increase in product quality Review rework and rejections on daily basis, assist in root cause analysis of quality issues, closure of action plan of previous reviews Work with the Innovation team and Tech Transfer team to improve the quality of the new and existing products. Implement the quality parameters setup for the incoming raw materials, WIPs and FGs. Supervise Test Lab activities and prepare it for accreditation by NABL. Work with internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standards Producing statistical reports on quality standards Report against agreed quality metrics as per the frequency defined. Review quality defects and reworks to analyze deviations and submit report to the Body Armor Head. Act as a point of contact in Body Armor for all the quality issues Update quality documentation and procedures and communicate to carry forward lessons learned from quality concerns. Train, coach and develop a high performing Quality team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best results, added value and continuous improvements Conduct quality system related trainings for different functions across MKU Preferred candidate profile Graduation in Designing and Textile Certification in ISO 9001 2-3 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing organization Excellent man management skills Working knowledge of Quality systems and Processes Knowledge and understanding on various QMS especially ISO 9001-2015, AS 9100 Rev. D, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, BA 9000-2016 and ISO 17065-2015. Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members Excellent organizational and follow-up skills Competent in problem solving Experience with MS Word, Excel, Project Management and Analytics software
