Role & responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Quality Control & Inspection

• Perform routine inspections of raw materials (rubber, steel, fabric) and finished tyres.
• Conduct dimensional checks, endurance tests, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, BIS, DOT, and other relevant standards.

• Testing & Validation

• Oversee laboratory and road-testing of tyres for durability, traction, rolling resistance, and safety.
• Validate new product designs against quality benchmarks.
• Document and analyse test results to identify trends and potential issues.

• Process Improvement

• Develop and implement quality assurance protocols across manufacturing lines.
• Identify root causes of defects and recommend corrective actions.
• Support Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen initiatives.

• Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain detailed records of inspections, audits, and test reports.
• Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Prepare quality certifications and liaise with regulatory bodies

• Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with R&D, production, and supply chain teams.
• Provide training to operators and supervisors on quality standards.
• Act as a bridge between customer feedback and manufacturing improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in quality assurance within tyre or automotive industries.
• Strong knowledge of tyre manufacturing processes (curing, extrusion, calendaring).
• Familiarity with testing equipment (UTM, drum testers, Balancer ,Uniformity inspection).
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), FMEA, and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Certifications in ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or Six Sigma preferred
• Excellent in Power Point Presentation and have knowledge of Power BI
