About the Role:

Quality Engineering Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead quality engineering efforts for enterprise-scale, API-first, cloud-based integration projects.
• Design, build, and execute robust automated test suites in Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and DevOps engineers.
• Rapidly learn and apply existing codebases, frameworks, and design patterns to new test cases.
• Use AI-based tools and prompt engineering techniques to optimise and generate test cases.
• Test microservices, message queues, and event-driven architectures.
• Solve technology challenges across multi-technology environments.

Core Technical Skills:

• Java:

  Advanced proficiency in Java-based test automation.

• API Testing:

  Strong hands-on experience with Rest Assured or similar frameworks.

• Cloud Integration:

  Expertise in Azure services, including Blob Storage, Event Hubs/Kafka, App Insights, Azure Functions.

• Messaging & Queues:

  Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or equivalent.

• Microservices Testing:

  Proven track record in testing distributed systems.

• DevOps Awareness:

  Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment models.

Automation & Tools:

• Java-based automation frameworks
• API contract testing experience
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (advantageous)

AI-Assisted Testing Skills:

• Prompt engineering for test case generation
• Knowledge of LLM-based automation augmentation

Leadership & Soft Skills:

• Experience leading small QE teams
• Technology-agnostic problem solver
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently
• Ability to quickly understand and explain code written by others

Experience Required:

• 8+ years in Quality Engineering
• 3+ years in a senior/lead QE role
• Proven success in large-scale enterprise integration projects
