Job Description

Position:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Control & Inspection

Perform in-process and final inspection of sheet metal components, assemblies, and fabricated structures.
Verify dimensions using Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, profile projectors, and other measuring instruments.
Inspect welding quality (visual inspection, weld gauge) and finishing parameters.
Monitor and ensure adherence to drawings, tolerances, and customer specifications.

2. Quality Assurance

Prepare and maintain QA documentation, including inspection reports, NCRs, CAPA, and quality checklists.
Develop SOPs, quality standards, and inspection procedures for sheet metal processes.
Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective & preventive actions.

3. Process Monitoring

Monitor key manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, bending, punching, welding, grinding, and powder coating.
Ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal quality norms.
Assist in process improvements to reduce rejection and rework.

4. Supplier Quality Management

Inspect incoming raw materials (sheet metal, hardware, fasteners, powder coating material).
Coordinate with vendors for quality issues and drive supplier corrective actions.

5. Coordination & Reporting

Work closely with production, design, and procurement teams to resolve quality concerns.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.
Support audits (internal & external) and maintain relevant documentation.

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
Proficiency in using inspection and measuring tools
Knowledge of ISO/5S/Lean manufacturing practices
Good documentation and reporting skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
