We are looking for a motivated and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team! As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for
managing supplier programs for manufacturing, packaging and other operational processes, as well as ensuring that quality programs are in compliance with regulatory requirements. A good candidate will be expected to have
deep understanding of end-to-end Supply chain elements (Sub-suppliers, Suppliers, Logistics, Warehouse (plants and depots), Manufacturing and Customer field areas). The role will involve working with
Global Supply chain (US, Europe, SEA) in the Semiconductor industry.
- Drive First Article Qualification for all Parts in Machining, Sheet Metal Commodities.
- Review FAI reports of Supplier; Prepare inspection plans
- Accept in-process or final buyback of parts by performing a detailed examination to all aspects of the production or process for conformance to specified requirements.
- Raise defect report in the event that the related work or process provided is found to be non-conforming to the applicable design data.
- Monitor Supplier's performance
- Co-ordinate non-conformity report with Design Organization and ensure timely closure.
- File and maintain records evidencing conformity of parts and appliances.
- Assist supplier in preparing and implementing 8D (RCCA), First Article, Process of Record/SOW/OMS and Change management etc.
- Drive supplier improvement through assessment and scorecard management.
- Commodity owner for Statistical Process Control (SPC), data analysis, database management, standardization/BKM for the team (Best Known Methods).
- Evaluate the impact of Part quality related non-conformance both internal & external and provide appropriate disposition for all commodities/categories.
- Take a lead in problem solving activities and drive root cause and corrective actions with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of Non-conformances.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Materials, with minimum 5yrs of relevant experience
- Ability to understand and interpret cad or engineering drawings and specifications
- Review drawings or other instructions to determine operational methods or sequences.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods, preferred. Knowledge on Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Tools – General & Inspection: Basic Inspection Tool (Pin gauges, go/no-go gauges, etc.)
- Height Gauges, Calipers, Micrometers, Pin Gauge, Depth Gauge, Small Hole Gauge, Weight Scale, Compass/Protractor, Inter-mic, Radius Gauge, Telescopic Gauge, Feeler Gauge, Bore Scope Gauge, Countersink Gauge
- Optical Comparator, Conductivity Tester, Hardness Tester, Profilometer - Surface Roughness, Micro-hite Gauge, Air Gauge, Video Gauge – Thickness, Ohm Meter - Electrical Conductivity, Indicator – Flatness
- Deep knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Professional certification, such as Six Sigma, CQE, or CQA
- Excellent written, verbal communication and Presentation skills
Additional Helpful Skills
- Working knowledge in statistical tools like Minitab, JMP
- Experience in working in any ERP tool (ex. SAP, Oracle)
- Excellent communication (written & verbal) & presentation skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment,
- Solution oriented while committed to consistency and process.
- Ability to work under minimal direction while keeping within the limitations of designated authorities, exercising regular use of good judgment.

- Identifying solutions and executing daily on most critical issues to meet the KPIs, swiftly understanding where the bottlenecks are and clearing the issues.
