EV MCU Design &Development SPECIALIST : Roles & Responsibility Responsible for EV MCU Design, development & Validation of Power Train Components for Ev Motors Like, BLDC Hub Motor, Mid Drive, Starter Motor, BSG, and Alternator, Sub Assy & All the child parts for Automotive Applications. Expertise in the Bottleneck removing process during the development of the Power train and EMS modules like Motors, Motor Controller , Dashboard and battery, and BMS. Emergency support to Power train and EMS modules like Motors, Motor Controller, Dashboard and battery, and BMS. Technically support the supplier to avoid the Line breakdown & immediate recovery from the breakdown. Immediate Firefighting support towards the Line Recovery Found the Risk area for Quality, Cost & Delivery assessment, and Mitigated the risk for all the critical areas. Performance Calculations for the EV Vehicles Motors and MCU, BLDC HUB,Mid drive& PMSM Motor system Sizing/Determination by using the Maxwell /Motor Cad / Sim-link Software. Designing and Development of EV Vehicles Hardware packaging and Sizing the Mechanical components for EV Modules Dash Board, Motor drive Controller, PCN, BMS and Battery Cover for EV Vehicles. Preparing the technical Presentation as per the Customer RFQ/SOR and Submit the Proto samples for the customer Approval. Experience in creating the engineering drawings like Child part, Sub Assy, End Product & Vehicle level mounting fitment as per GD&T Standard by using the CATIA/Pro ACAD/ANSYS Software and Calculating Tolerance Stack up ensure Fit/form/Function. Design and selecting the Materials for the the EV Motors and other Mechanical Components like Starter, Rotors,Magnets, Winding,Core pack,Housing, Shaft,Top and Bottom Covers, Wiring Harness,Connectors,PCBA and Sensors to meet the Product life. Preparing the drawing and BOM from Concept, Proto & Final release with addressing all TDR,PDR,PTDB and TGW points for the PPAP and mass production in the team centre. Have Experience in Making advance proto sample for EV Motors and Controllers using with 3D Printing /RPT/Continuous liquid interface/LOM Laminated Object Manufacturing Process. Drive execution for projects through work package approvals, engineering management plan and attaining all engineering deliverable and AGILE project management environment. Drive execution for projects through work EV Hardware package approvals, engineering management plan and attaining all engineering deliverable in an AGILE project management environment Lead technical discussions and presentations for internal and external customers, including design, Development & testings. Review EV Vehicle HW development & feasibility studies, implement recommendations that strongly influence. Review and approve EV Products HW release versions, documentation, ECRs/ECOs/OTA release, Verification Test plans and test reports. Verify release versions of HW, test reports and change orders/requests for completeness and conformity to standards procedures and specification. Working experience on CAE tools for physics modelling, Simulations and reviewing CAE,CFD Results for delivery & project coordination with addressing the all the TDR and Validations points for the final launch. Experience in EV Motor, Controller,BMS,Battery, Dash Board design & Peripheral Numerical Controller,Vehicle layout, Subsystem integration,CAD Modeling, Structural durability,Thermal Simulations & Testing correlations. Creating Design Standard Documents Like DFMEA,PFMEA,PDR,DVp,PV,APQP, Design guide,Master BOM. Preparing the Testing and validation requirement for Various Customers on DV, PV & IP for New Product,Design change, VAVE & New Tool for Product performance, Vehicle and Component Validations,Environment and Vehicle level validations. Performing Various Testings like Product and EV Vehicle level performance, Functional,Vibration,Corrosion,SST,CCT,Temp Cycle,Durability& On road durability and releasing on time validation report for PPAP and Mass production for the respective team. Designing the Electrical testing parameters for Vehicle level testings Like ICT,FCT,CC,Leak Test,Hi pot, Surge,Dielectric , Performance & EOL for the Various Electrical Vehicle products BLDC Motor, BMS ,Battery,Motor Controller & Dash Board. Responsible for Vehicle integration for all the platform projects & Products in the following areas E&E System integration power electronics, Electrical and electronics, Battery,BMS,Dash Board, Motor,Motor Controller & Transmission unit. Prove the design through process like LPDC,GDC & PDC,Injection Molding,Machining,Brazing, Soldering & SMT by conducting CP,CPK & PP PPk & SPC ensuring and optimizing the Mass production value through drawing for PPAP. Responsible for Design& development on EV Hub Motor, BMS,Motor Controller,Battery,Dash Board,BSG, BLDC Traction Motor for EV & Starter Motor. Magnet development for the EV, BSG, Alternator Rotors & Starters Expertise in Material selection for application-specific design including Metals & Metal Alloys, Polymers, Elastomer, Composites, Sealant, Adhesives, Coating, and Plating. Skill set on Failure Analysis of Material of Metals & Metal Alloys, Polymers, Elastomer, Composites, Sealant, Adhesives, Coating, and Plating, from chemical composition, Metallography, microscopy, spectroscopy, SEM, NDT Benchmarking the EV Motors, BMS, Battery, Motor Controller& Dashboard with global competitive products. Accountable for delivery of complete Design of Process and manufacturing line for all the assigned PCBA and Module projects to the team & Responsible for meeting time, cost and quality targets. Monitor proto, pilot and early production builds. Record bugs and deviations and implement appropriate containment, corrective and preventive actions 8D, CAPA to assure the targeted quality & yields. Drive build documentation reviews internally and with external stakeholders - BOM Analysis, Assembly CTQs, Process Definition (PFC), Control Plan, PFMEA, FTA Report/Build Report of the effective New Product Implementation. Thorough knowledge of NREs (exp. Stencils, Assembly Jigs & Fixtures, Wave pallets, Special Purpose Jigs, Press Fit Jig, Dip Solder Jig) required in manufacturing along with its Cost and Materials used. Also ability to evaluate internal development compared with EMS partners according to the requirements. Use Knowledge and/or expertise of PCB fabrication of 2-layer and Multi-layer boards to help execute PCB DFM & Manufacturing and NRE requirements for PCB, PCBA and EV Vehicle Module development. Gerber Reviews – Should have knowledge of Fabrication and Assembly layers, use the tool to handle TQ’s, Working Gerber Comparison & Check plot verification to enhance detection at early stage itself. Ensure MBoM, BoP, PFD, Work instructions, Maintenance guidelines are delivered by the team to the corresponding EMS Vendors & Advanced in DFA,DFM,DFT&FMEA(Design, Process & Equipment) Working with vendors in communicating requirements, reviewing designs and line setup at vendor places. Ability to predict/or forecast manufacturing cycle times and yield to meet the TAKT and OEE requirements Testing & Validation of Electrical Vehicle Modules like Motor, Controller, BMS & Battery for Functional, Performance, Environmental, Durability. Lead for Electrical Vehicle Testing & Proto development Group and Assembly process on PCBs & PCBAs & Moduls. Test Plan and DVP finalization for EV Projects EV specific Test Equipment / Infrastructure development for testing & validation & good Understanding gerbers 4G, GNSS,WIFI,BT,Wireless protocol testing. Familiarity with Microcontroller / Microprocessor / DSP Architecture – Registers, Bus, PWM, DMA, watchdog, ADC, DAC, Timers, LED driver ICs,Test plan & Test point coverage. Responsible for Engineering Document & Test Standard preparation for the Validation of Electric Vehicles/Child part/ Sub Assy & Subsystem level.
