Quality Control Associate

Location: Thiruvottiyur,Chennai

Salary: CTC Ranging from 3 to 3.5 Lakhs based on experience

Rotational Shift and male only

Position will be on 3rd Party payroll.

Role & responsibilities

• The resource is expected to be fully aware of the Quality Management system. Preferred experience in Cartons / Laminates / Labels / Cigarette Packaging
• They should understand basics of quality control, types of defects, defect identification Visual, testing against specification, functional aspects and end use aspects of the packaging material
• They must have a keen eye to catch and contain defects, based on sampling protocols
• They must be able to follow SOP and operate lab testing equipment like Weighing scale, vernier calliper/micrometre, UTM, Bond strength measurements, oven, moisture analyser, microscope, etc
• They must get trained on 7 QC Tools to identify root-cause of problem and arrive at implementable corrective and preventive actions
• They must comply and drive Food safety and Quality culture in the organisation

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidate must have 2-3 years of experience in Quality Department roles - preferably in the packaging industry
• Educational background may be Diploma in Printing Technology or other technical Degrees / Diplomas (experience in the Packaging related industry will be added advantage)
• Basic knowledge on quality processes like lab testing, sampling, defect identification, Root-cause analysis
