This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 800000 - Rs 1200000 (ie INR 8-12 LPA) Min Experience: 1 years Location: Remote (India), Bengaluru, Karnataka JobType: full-time We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with 1-3 years of experience to join our growing technology team. As a QA Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our products. You will be responsible for planning and executing tests, identifying issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software that exceeds customer expectations. This role requires a candidate with a solid foundation in QA principles and a passion for ensuring that software meets the highest standards of quality and functionality. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with product managers, developers, and designers to understand project requirements and define test strategies. Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web, mobile, and/or backend applications. Perform manual testing to identify functional and non-functional issues, ensuring the software meets business and technical requirements. Document and report bugs, issues, and defects clearly and concisely using bug-tracking tools such as JIRA or similar. Conduct regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains unaffected by new code changes. Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve defects, verify fixes, and improve overall software quality. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to provide QA input and updates. Collaborate with team members to maintain and enhance the QA process and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Develop a thorough understanding of our products and user experience to provide valuable insights during the development lifecycle. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 1-3 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance and software testing. Strong knowledge of QA concepts, methodologies, and best practices. Familiarity with SDLC and agile development methodologies. Experience in writing and executing test cases and test plans. Proficiency in defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred (Nice to Have): Basic knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman) is a plus. Experience testing APIs and backend systems.
