Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer Job Location: Bangalore Experiences: 4-7 Years Work Mode: Hybrid Shift Timings- 11:30 AM-8:30 PM We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products through the design, development, and execution of test plans and test cases. This role involves working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify, analyze, and report software defects, ultimately contributing to the delivery of high-quality and reliable software solutions. We are looking for detail oriented, Customer focused, out-of-the-box thinkers who are not afraid to raise the red flag on behalf of our Customers. We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer with skills in User Acceptance /Functional” Testing and customer focused experience to join our team in US/India. Our Quality Engineers understand that “good enough” is never enough. They strive for the highest levels of quality and the most efficient methods to achieve it. They are experts in testing, testing strategies/planning, tooling, and execution. This position suits someone who can hit the ground running, form working relationships quickly and add value by introducing best test practices and techniques learned elsewhere.As a “Quality Engineer/Test Lead” on our team, you’ll: Planning User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities that impact front-end, middleware, backend focused applications. This includes assessing the testing needs, determining the proper test configuration and data needs, writing and executing test conditions, recommending opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, and ensuring the completion of required test documents. Preparing all testing-related documentation like Test Strategies, Plans and Execution Artifacts with internal and external partners. Monitoring project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing status reports, recommending actions and escalating appropriately. Tracking and monitoring defects that arise during UAT, and seeing them through to resolution. Build and leverage a deep understanding of the products and technology assets being tested to ensure optimal test coverage Bring consistency to approaches and artifacts, and execute efficiently across initiatives Forging strong relationships with various internal business partners, technical partners and vendors to review test scenarios, validate test results, maintain documentation to deliver target code quality. Design quality metrics to be gathered, collated and reported to management. Identify patterns and opportunities from the metrics to drive innovation and improvement. Provide guidance to engineering teams including driving improvements in automation and testing in a Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration (CD/CI) environment plus Identify opportunities to adopt innovative testing technologies and techniques Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience required 3+ years of proven skills in quality and test engineering in the Financial industry specifically with ability to create “Test Cases, Test data, Running functional and leading defect resolution (automated, and/or performance test exp is a plus) Strong technical experience working one of more of the following areas for testing: UX/UI(WEB and Mobile), Distributed, Microservices, DB, Cornerstone, Cloud, Mainframe, Unix/Linux. (Programming languages i.e. Cobol, Java, .Net, etc is a plus) Strong written and verbal communication skills (English is a must) Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and implement time management strategies to ensure deadlines are met. Ability to assess risks, impacts or implications to operations areas or the customer. Demonstrated ability to manage shifting priorities. Experience supporting large-scale projects. A passion for our Customers!! Experienced knowledge of platform delivery methodology (Agile, incl Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Waterfall) Leadership qualities, professional presence, extremely strong communication skills and ability to influence without direct authority Ability to work with a number of SDLC/STLC Tools like HP QC, Rally, JIRA, Bugzilla along with Microsoft Office suite etc Core knowledge of one or more of the following tools is a plus: Selenium; Unified Functional Test (UFT aka QTP), orchestrators such as XL Release; Puppet or Chef; IBM Rational including Urban Code Any of the following test certifications - QAI, ASQ, IIST, ISEB, ISTQB - are a plus Experienced knowledge of continuous integration (CI), continuous deployment(CD) and continuous testing (CT) capabilities, including tools such as Jenkins, ARA, confluence, version control such as GIT or SVN and service virtualization is plus Good understanding of end-to-end processes in Merchant and Acquirer platforms will be a plus Education & Certifications: B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA
