QS & Billing Engineer - Blue Star

Job Summary:

As a QS Engineer at Blue Star, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate costing, pricing, and financial management of projects. You will work closely with project teams, suppliers, and customers to optimize project profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation:
Prepare accurate cost estimates for various projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses.
Pricing:
Develop competitive pricing strategies based on cost estimates and market trends.
Bid Management:
Participate in the bidding process, reviewing tender documents and preparing proposals.
Contract Management:
Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and customers, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
Financial Tracking:
Monitor project finances, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact project costs and profitability.
Value Engineering:
Explore opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality or functionality.
Reporting:
Prepare regular reports on project financial performance and cost control measures.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Mechanical Engineering.
Proven experience in QS role within the construction or manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of cost estimation techniques, pricing strategies, and contract management.
Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Primavera, Excel, AutoCAD).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
