Job Description Position : QC Officer Packaging Company : Astral Adhesives Limited Location : Dahej, Gujarat Experience Required : 0–4 years in packaging QC (Freshers with B.Sc. Chemistry welcome) About the Role: Astral Adhesives Limited is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented QC Officer – Packaging to oversee the quality of packaging materials and ensure they meet defined specifications. The role involves inspection, testing, documentation, and coordination with vendors, stores, and production teams to maintain packaging quality for both raw and finished goods. Fresh graduates in Chemistry with an interest in packaging quality are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities: Packaging Material Inspection: Inspect incoming packaging materials (e.g., drums, labels, cartons, containers, liners) as per approved specifications. Conduct visual and physical quality checks to detect any defects or deviations. Approve or reject materials and maintain appropriate records for traceability. Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure all packaging materials meet product, branding, and regulatory standards. Maintain SOPs, COAs, and quality documentation for packaging materials. Support internal audits and help ensure ISO compliance related to packaging. Documentation & Reporting: Record all inspection findings, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions. Coordinate with procurement and production teams regarding material quality issues. Generate regular reports on packaging quality trends and issues. Coordination & Process Improvement: Work with production and design teams to enhance packaging quality and usability. Support validation of new packaging materials and assist with vendor development. Contribute to CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) processes when required.
