Job Description

Role & responsibilities Technical Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct paper application tests, including spray starch, wet end starch, size press starch, and coating starch, for both existing and new products based on Quality Control (QC) request. Collaborate with the production department for on time testing of product. Coordinate laboratory tests with customers requirement to evaluate samples. Conduct trial runs of modified products on Paper and Board machines in collaboration with Paper Machine incharges. To ensure paper and paper board functional properties are tested of each and every jumbo manufactured within stipulated time and release jumbo card for further processing. To ensure good coordination with process department for any quality deviation and physical defects to minimize quality rejections. To ensure quality protocols are followed during conversation process. To have good knowledge of all types of mechanical testing of paper and paper board in line with TAPPI and ISO standards. To have good managerial skills in handling manpower. Preferred candidate profile Qualifications: Diploma Chemical Engineering / Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Pulp and Paper Technology / MSc in Chemistry Minimum 3 years of experience in technical support or product development within the paper industry. Proficiency in English (both written and oral).
