Position : QC Engineer No: of Posts : 2-3 Posts Experience : 5+ Years Industry : Commercial & Residential Construction Location : Siliguri, West Bengal Qualification : B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering Application Deadline : 25.04.2025 Job Summary: We are seeking a Quality Control (QC) Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in commercial and residential construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance/quality control processes, site inspection, and documentation to ensure all project activities meet the highest quality standards and conform to applicable codes, specifications, and client expectations. Key Responsibilities: · Site Quality Inspections : Conduct daily inspections of construction activities to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. · Material Verification : Ensure all incoming materials and equipment are checked, tested, and approved before use on site. · Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate and up-to-date QC records including inspection reports, test results, material approvals, and non-conformance reports (NCRs). · Standards Compliance : Ensure that all works comply with local/international standards, project specifications, and industry best practices. · Method Statements & ITPs : Assist in the preparation and implementation of Method Statements and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for all construction activities. · Coordination : Work closely with the site team, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions. · Testing & Commissioning : Oversee or support third-party testing and commissioning activities as required by the project. · Audit Support : Participate in internal and external quality audits and ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001). · Punch List & Handover : Assist in managing punch lists, ensuring all snags are rectified before project handover. Required Skills & Experience: · Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in QC roles within commercial and residential construction projects. · Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and standards for MEP and civil works. · Familiarity with quality control procedures , site inspection techniques, and industry documentation. · Working knowledge of codes and standards such as ASTM, ACI, ASHRAE, ISO, and local building codes. · Proficient in MS Office , especially Excel and Word. Experience with QA/QC software or document control systems is a plus. · Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications across civil, electrical, and mechanical disciplines. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate across departments and with external stakeholders. · Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining clear and thorough records.
