QA Specialist

As a specialist quality engineer at PTC India, you will be a key member of the Kepware Development team in Pune, focused on developing best-in-class industrial automation products. Your role involves developing specific pieces of automation with minimal oversight, as well as leading junior staff. Your passion for software development, automation, and testing will drive the use of modern techniques and best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Develop specific pieces of automation with minimal oversight - Lead junior staff in automation development - Utilize modern techniques, tools, and best practices in software development - Collaborate with team members in Pune and the US on product design, implementation, and testing - Work with developers, QA, and business representatives to deliver solutions in an Agile environment - Ensure all definitions of done are achieved, including functional and non-functional requirements, automation, security, and DevOps aspects Preferred Skills and Knowledge: - Maintaining and improving test automation system frameworks - Developing new tests and implementing tools for enhanced coverage - Designing tests based on customer requirements using modern testing principles - Understanding and decomposing test requirements - Experience with containers (docker) and container orchestration (docker-compose, Kubernetes) - Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline architecture - Familiarity with Test Driven Development methodologies and frameworks - Proficiency in REST API open standards (Swagger, OpenAPI, etc.) Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field - 3+ years of experience in software development - In-depth understanding of testing methodologies - Intermediate knowledge of languages such as C# or Java (required), C, C++, Python (desired) - Familiarity with Issue Tracking software, Unit Testing Frameworks, and tools like Visual Studio, GitLab, JIRA - Excellent troubleshooting skills for analyzing complex systems and determining root causes - Understanding of Agile principles, test driven development, and continuous integration PTC India is a global team dedicated to creating opportunities for growth and innovation.
