Role Summary

  • The

    QA Lead / QA Manager

    will be responsible for leading QA strategy, defining testing
  • frameworks, establishing quality practices, and ensuring delivery excellence across multiple
  • technology initiatives including integrations, digital platforms, data engineering, web
  • applications, and custom development.
  • This role requires a blend of hands-on testing expertise, strong process leadership, and the ability
  • to mentor and scale a QA team in a growing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. QA Strategy & Quality Governance

  • Define and implement QA methodologies, standards, and best practices for multi-project environments.
  • Establish manual and automation testing frameworks for web, API, integration, and data validations.
  • Implement governance structure for sprint testing, regression, performance, and prerelease validation.
  • Own quality metrics, traceability matrices, and QA gates for delivery readiness.
  1. Test Planning & Execution

  • Create test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with requirements and user stories.
  • Lead functional, integration, regression, system, API, and UAT testing.
  • Ensure comprehensive coverage with 100% requirements traceability.
  • Validate data pipelines, ETL outputs, APIs, workflows, and system integrations.
  1. Automation Framework Development

  • Build or enhance automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, Postman, JMeter, RestAssured, Playwright, or equivalent tools.
  • Identify automation opportunities and drive automation adoption across projects.
  • Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
  1. Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Lead, guide, and mentor QA engineers (manual + automation).
  • Review test deliverables and enhance team productivity and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on tools, techniques, and QA best practices.
  • Assist in recruitment and onboarding of QA team members.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with development teams, architects, product owners, and delivery managers.
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies, requirements reviews, and technical discussions.
  • Provide proactive risk identification, defect triage, and status reporting to leadership.
  • Align QA processes with engineering, DevOps, and project management functions.
  1. Reporting & Metrics

  • Track key QA metrics such as defect density, test execution rates, test coverage, automation coverage, and regression stability.
  • Maintain dashboards, reports, and documentation for leadership visibility.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication on QA risks, dependencies, and release readiness.
  1. Release Readiness & Risk Mitigation

  • Perform smoke testing, sanity checks, environment verification, and deployment validations.
  • Manage defect triage and collaborate with engineering teams for faster resolution.
  • Support production deployment cycles and post-release testing.
