For more details, explore our website: techchefz.digital Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Lead to join us and take responsibility for managing the entire QA team. The QA Lead will be responsible for establishing and implementing effective QA processes and strategies. This position requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement within the QA function. Responsibilities: Lead and manage the QA team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members. Develop and implement QA strategies, policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure high-quality software delivery across both manual and automated testing. Define and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the QA team to monitor and evaluate performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and project management, to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the software development life cycle. Oversee the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage for both manual testing and automated testing (using tools like Selenium, Appium, Jenkins, etc.). Review and analyze test results, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvements to the development team. Implement and maintain efficient test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit) to streamline the testing process and enhance efficiency. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in software quality assurance and testing tools, identifying opportunities to improve the manual and automated testing processes. Conduct regular performance evaluations of the QA team members, providing feedback, guidance, and identifying training and development needs in both manual and automation testing. Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and schedule testing activities based on project timelines and resource availability, ensuring both manual and automated tests are executed efficiently. Monitor and report on the progress and status of QA activities, including defect tracking, test coverage, test execution metrics, and automation success. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and security testing best practices. Requirements: Proven experience in leading and managing a QA team in an IT/software development environment. Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies as well as automation testing tools and frameworks. Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and other automation testing frameworks. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven, and understanding of integrating automated tests into the development pipeline. Solid understanding of Agile and DevOps principles and practices. Extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and improving test automation frameworks and scripts. Strong knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex QA issues in both manual and automated testing. Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire a team, fostering an environment for continuous learning. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
