QA Engineer

As a QA Engineer at SmartRabbitz Innovations Pvt Ltd, your role will be crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and executing detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases. - Performing functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing. - Reviewing and analyzing system specifications and requirements. - Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar. - Collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams. - Participating actively in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. - Preparing detailed QA documentation including test plans, test cases, and test reports. - Validating and verifying defect fixes and ensuring proper closure. - Contributing to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies. Qualifications required for this role are: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 2+ years of experience in Manual and Automated Testing. - Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC). - Hands-on experience with test management and bug tracking tools. - Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. - Good understanding of database concepts; ability to write simple SQL queries is a plus. - Experience testing web-based applications; mobile app testing is an advantage. - Basic understanding of APIs and tools like Postman (optional but a plus). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work both independently and within a team. This is a full-time, permanent position located in Trivandrum, Kerala. The work schedule is day shift, Monday to Friday.
