QA Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 1. Test Design and Development : Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API testing. Identify opportunities for automation and contribute to the automation test framework. 2. Test Execution and Reporting : Execute automated test cases and analyze results to identify defects and ensure application quality. Report and track bugs in a structured manner using bug-tracking tools. 3. Collaboration : Work closely with the development and product teams to understand requirements, specifications, and potential risks. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. 4. Continuous Improvement : Stay updated with industry trends and emerging tools/technologies in automation. Contribute to improving QA processes and testing strategies to enhance efficiency and coverage. 5. Documentation : Create and maintain clear and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Key Requirements: Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals (manual and automation). Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages, such as Java, Python, C#, Type Script or JavaScript . Hands-on experience with test automation tools/frameworks like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, Playwright , or similar. Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman , REST-Assured , or equivalent. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab,GitHub, Bitbucket pipelines ) is a plus. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results. Fluent English Additional Requirements: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Basic knowledge of performance and security testing is a plus. Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
