QA Engineer API & Angular Application Testing

As a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and automating tests for web and API-based applications using Angular and .NET Core (or Node.js/Java) APIs. Your primary focus will be ensuring product quality through manual and automated testing processes. Key Responsibilities: - Perform manual and automated testing of Angular-based front-end applications and backend REST APIs. - Design and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements. - Develop and execute automation frameworks for UI and API layers using tools such as Postman / Newman, Rest Assured, or Playwright / Cypress / Selenium. - Validate API responses, status codes, data accuracy, and performance using Postman or automated scripts. - Conduct functional, regression, smoke, integration, and performance testing. - Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA / Azure DevOps / similar tools, ensuring timely closure. - Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps to maintain continuous quality in CI/CD pipelines. - Manage test data, mock servers, and automation suites integrated with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure Pipelines. - Participate in requirement reviews and contribute to building testable user stories. - Ensure cross-browser and responsive testing for Angular UI components. - Prepare test summary reports and contribute to continuous process improvements. Required Skills: - Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Hands-on experience in UI automation using tools like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Protractor for Angular. - Proficiency in API automation with tools such as Postman/Newman, Rest Assured, SuperTest, or similar. - Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript for test scripting. - Good knowledge of HTTP methods, JSON, authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT). - Familiarity with PostgreSQL / SQL queries for data validation. - Exposure to Git / Bitbucket and CI/CD integration tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps. - Basic knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter, k6 is a plus. - Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in testing .NET Core / Node.js / Spring Boot APIs. - Familiarity with containerized environments like Docker, Kubernetes. - Exposure to cloud environments such as Azure / AWS. - ISTQB or similar certification is an added advantage.
