QA Engineer 1

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and define clear, testable acceptance criteria.
• Create, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases across web and mobile applications.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing during product releases.
• Log detailed, reproducible bug reports and track issues through resolution.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar).
• Ensure test coverage across critical user journeys, backend APIs, and integrations.
• Participate in release planning, verifying the readiness of builds for production.
• Stay updated with QA tools, frameworks, and best practices to continuously evolve our testing strategy.
  

Requirements

• 1-3 years of hands-on experience in software testing (manual and/or automation).
• Strong understanding of STLC, defect lifecycle, and basic Agile/Scrum practices.
• Experience with web or mobile application testing.
• Familiarity with one or more automation frameworks: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar.
• Basic scripting knowledge in JavaScript / Python / Java (to automate or write test scripts).
• Understanding of API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to think like an end-user.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  

Bonus Points

• Experience setting up automation or integrating with CI/CD (e. g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Exposure to frontend monitoring/error tracking tools like Sentry, Datadog RUM, or LogRocket.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and backend validation.
• Understanding of security testing fundamentals.
