QA Chemist

Job Overview:

The Quality Assurance Chemist will be responsible for ensuring that all products, processes, and documentation comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will play a key role in implementing QA processes, maintaining SOPs, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, ISO and other regulatory standards.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and ensure adherence to approved quality specifications.
• Participate in internal audits, prepare audit documentation, and coordinate CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Action).
• Review batch manufacturing records (BMR/BPR) and ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Support validations (process, cleaning & method validations) and maintain related documentation.
• Monitor product quality issues, deviations, and non-conformances, and ensure timely closure.
• Coordinate with Production, QC, R&D, and other departments to ensure alignment with quality standards.
• Maintain QA documentation, logs, and ensure proper record-keeping as per regulatory requirements.
• Support external audits by regulatory bodies and customers.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong understanding of QA processes, GMP & GLP guidelines.
• Knowledge of chemical/research chemical manufacturing processes.
• Documentation skills (SOP writing, record management, CAPA, audit documentation).
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Problem-solving ability and understanding of root cause analysis.

Qualification & Experience:

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Quality Assurance in the chemical, pharmaceutical, or research chemicals industry.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
