Job Title: QA Engineer Financial Services Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with experience in data quality testing, functional testing, and automation within the financial services industry . This role involves performing independent quality checks, developing testing frameworks, and ensuring data accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, experience with reporting/ETL tools, and a solid understanding of software testing methodologies . Key Responsibilities: Perform data quality testing to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance of data systems, reports, feeds, and applications . Develop and implement data quality standards, validation, and reconciliation methods . Conduct independent testing to eliminate bias and ensure correct testing methodologies are applied. Create test cases, track defects, document test evidence, and update testing tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps). Collaborate with users, developers, and business analysts to ensure system outputs meet business requirements. Ensure adherence to SDLC processes , documentation best practices, and QA compliance standards. Lead or assist in defect review and testing meetings when required. Provide daily updates on testing metrics and results to the QA Lead . Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance in Financial Services , OR High School Diploma/GED and 6+ years of relevant QA experience. Strong knowledge of SQL (MS SQL Server) ability to write queries, extract, and analyze data. Experience with Excel (Advanced) for data comparison and test analysis. Understanding of data governance, validation, and reconciliation . Strong documentation skills in MS Office and related tools. Experience using Agile tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.) . Preferred Qualifications: 5-7 years of experience in software testing, test documentation, and automation tools . Experience with ETL tools (SSIS) and reporting tools (SSRS, Power BI, Tableau) . Knowledge of automated testing tools (Selenium) . Familiarity with Salesforce, Leasing, Data Warehousing, or Data Modeling . Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality assurance best practices .
