Job Description: QA Analyst - Internet Banking & Mobile Banking (IBMB)

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst with 3-5 years of experience specifically in the Banking Domain, with a strong focus on Internet Banking and Mobile Banking (IBMB) applications. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of our digital banking platforms, contributing to an exceptional user experience for our customers.
This role requires a strong understanding of the SDLC and STLC, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Test Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and development teams to understand business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs for IBMB applications. Contribute to and develop comprehensive test plans and test strategies.

Test Case Design & Execution: Design, develop, and maintain detailed test cases, scenarios, and test data for various testing types, including:

Functional Testing (transaction processing, account management, payments, etc.)

Regression Testing (to ensure new changes do not impact existing functionality)

System Integration Testing (SIT)
-
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support

Usability Testing
-
Security Testing (familiarity with concepts like authentication, authorization, data encryption)

Performance Testing (basic understanding of concepts)

Defect Management: Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM). Provide clear and concise bug reports with steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and product owners throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure quality is embedded at every stage. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Automation (Preferred): Assist in the development and maintenance of automated test scripts for IBMB applications using relevant tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium).

Reporting: Generate and analyze test execution reports, defect trends, and provide regular updates on testing progress and risks to stakeholders.

Domain Expertise: Apply strong knowledge of banking processes, regulations (e.g., RBI guidelines, KYC, AML), and typical IBMB functionalities (e.g., fund transfers, bill payments, account statements, fixed deposits, mobile recharges, UPI).

Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for test process improvements, recommend best practices, and contribute to enhancing overall QA efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

3-5 years of proven experience as a QA Analyst in the Banking Domain.

Mandatory experience with Internet Banking and Mobile Banking (IBMB) applications.

Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).

Proficiency in designing and executing various types of testing (Functional, Regression, SIT, UAT).

Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Ability to write and execute SQL queries for backend data validation.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:

Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Postman).

Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for automation.

Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

ISTQB certification or equivalent.
