Python Lead Developer

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Python Lead Developer with 8+ years of experience who has successfully

led a development team and has strong expertise in Python, React.js, Node.js, MySQL, and

Kafka. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of managing projects, mentoring

developers, and delivering scalable, high-performance applications. Experience in P&C

insurance would be a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding

standards.

• Architect, design, and develop Python-based backend applications with high scalability.

• Oversee React.js front-end development and Node.js server-side applications.

• Implement and manage Kafka for real-time data streaming.

• Optimize and manage MySQL databases for performance and scalability.

• Ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end components.

• Drive Agile development processes, sprint planning, and code reviews.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.

• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements.

• REST API development and integration

• Excellent knowledge of github

• Work on claims processing tasks, including automation of claims workflows, integrating

third-party claims management systems, and optimizing data flow for faster claim

resolution.

Must-Have Skills:

• Proven experience leading a development team (hiring, mentoring, and managing

developers).

• Strong hands-on experience with Python (Django/Flask).

• Expertise in React.js and front-end technologies.

• Solid experience in Node.js for backend development.

• In-depth knowledge of Kafka for event-driven architecture.

• Strong expertise in MySQL (database design, optimization, performance tuning).

• Experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms

(AWS/GCP/Azure).

• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).

• Exposure to DevOps and cloud-native architectures.

• Experience in P&C insurance or claims processing systems would be a plus.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor's or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
