Job Summary

Python Developer with Ignition (Inductive Automation) expertise

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain applications using

  Python

  and

  Ignition platform (Vision, Perspective, Designer, Gateway)

  .
• Design and implement

  SCADA/HMI solutions

  , dashboards, and reports for industrial automation projects.
• Integrate Ignition with external systems, PLCs, ERP/MES, and databases (SQL, Oracle, etc.).
• Work on

  real-time data acquisition, processing, and visualization

  using Ignition modules.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (OT/IT, automation engineers, business stakeholders) to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure application scalability, reliability, and security across environments.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing Ignition projects and Python-based scripts.
• Support deployment, testing, and production rollout of Ignition-based applications.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience

  as a Python Developer.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience

  with

  Ignition SCADA platform

  (Vision, Perspective, Scripting, Gateway configuration).
• Strong understanding of

  industrial automation concepts

  and protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, etc.).
• Proficiency in

  SQL databases

  (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Experience with

  REST/SOAP APIs

  and system integrations.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and optimization skills.
• Familiarity with

  Git/Version control

  , CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.

Good to Have (Optional)

• Experience with

  MES/ERP systems

  integration.
• Knowledge of

  cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  for data connectivity.
• Familiarity with

  Docker/Kubernetes

  for deployment.
• Ignition certification(s) from

  Inductive Automation
