Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer (Python)

Time Overlap Requirement:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and maintainable backend applications capable of handling large volumes of data
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs, contributing to microservices architecture and overall API design
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers to elevate team performance
• Stay updated with new technologies and contribute to a culture of continuous learning
• Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation and system architecture diagrams

Required Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Python development
• Strong experience working with RESTful APIs, including best practices for caching, JWT authentication, load testing, and API frameworks
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting (Bash)
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker), Kubernetes, and serverless platforms like AWS Lambda
• Proven experience working with large datasets and database technologies such as SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Amazon Aurora, Redis, Redshift, or BigQuery
• Commitment to comprehensive testing practices, including unit, integration, and functional testing
• Knowledge of API security principles and performance optimization techniques
• Skilled in Git, including branching, conflict resolution, and managing pull requests
• Strong ability to debug and resolve performance issues in both application and database layers
• Demonstrated history of mentoring and guiding junior engineers
• Enthusiasm for writing clean, well-documented, and maintainable code

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with JavaScript or other programming languages such as Go or C/C++
• Exposure to frontend concepts or frameworks (e.g., React.js, Web Components)
• Experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure
• A passion for data-centric software and building tools that leverage data effectively
