Role Overview

You will build backend automations, integrations, and internal tools that power WoowLocal’s marketplace and hyperlocal delivery ecosystem. You will work directly on real production workflows (not dummy tasks) — mainly using Python, APIs, and automation tools like N8N, FastAPI, and web scraping.

Your work will directly impact customers, vendors, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. API Development & Integrations

• Build and maintain Python-based microservices (FastAPI preferred).
• Integrate third-party APIs (WhatsApp Cloud API, SMS, Payment Gateway, Maps/Geo APIs).
• Build webhook-based automation modules for order management, lead-gen, and notifications.

2. Internal Automation

Develop automation workflows for:

• Vendor onboarding
• Order tracking
• Customer notifications
• Lead capture and distribution

Create backend logic for WoowLocal’s WhatsApp AI Assistant.

3. Data Processing & Analytics

• Write scripts to fetch, clean, structure, and analyze data.
• Build ML-ready datasets (optional but bonus).
• Develop dashboards or JSON endpoints for internal analytics.

4. Web Scraping & Tools

• Build scraping scripts: competitor price tracking, inventory, product data.
• Automate routine tasks: stock updates, vendor listings, content triggers.

5. Database Handling

• Work on SQL/NoSQL (MongoDB/PostgreSQL preferred).
• Optimize queries and structure data for fast local search.

6. Collaboration

• Work with Digital Marketing & Sales teams to automate campaigns.
• Coordinate with Design & Tech teams to deploy tools into production.

Required SkillsMust-Have (Non-negotiable)

• Solid Python fundamentals
• API usage (GET/POST, headers, JSON, auth)
• Basic FastAPI or Flask
• Good understanding of databases
• Writing clean, modular, reusable code
• Strong debugging skills
• Ability to deliver on time without excuses

Good to Have

• N8N automation
• WhatsApp Cloud API
• AI APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, etc.)
• Basic DevOps: Git, Linux commands
• Experience with async tasks (Celery, RabbitMQ, etc.)
