Responsibilities:

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Working directly with the tech team to address and resolve support issues, questions & requests
• Testing and debugging products and services delivered to our customers as part of the ongoing support process. Hands-on is a must.
• Analyze the project and participate in multi-way discussions with hardware designers and server-side and mobile app developers to familiarize yourself with the product.
• Design, build, and test efficient, high-quality embedded code via production SWE frameworks.
• Ensure the robustness of the code in the face of heavy-duty use by older people. (Defensive Programming for Robust UI)
• Ensure the robustness and security of wireless communication with sensors and medical device ecosystems. (Defensive Programming for Data Security)
• Ensure that firmware is as protected and tamper-proof as the hardware platform can provide.
• Collaborate on the design of future revisions of the product.
• Develop and test new features, integrations, and services concerning MiiCube
• Participate in product/service design challenges and exercise creativity
• Address and implement user feedback to improve IoT and product features

Qualifications (Skillset):

• Professional Experience of more than 3 years
• Strong experience with embedded linux. RPi, Jetson, and other embedded linux hw platforms are relevant.
• Strong knowledge of the Rust OR Python OR C/C++ programming languages in an embedded software context
• Experience with embedded AI optimisations and tools like tensorflow, pytorch or ONNX
• Experience interfacing with Bluetooth low energy and Zigbee devices and their relevant network operations
• Experience with Audio Signal Processing
• Experience with hw serial and network communication
• Experience with low-level, kernel Linux functions
• Experience with REST APIs, Websockets, Streaming endpoints.
• Experience developing systems with device and data security as features
• Familiarity with parsing and transporting sensor data
• Understanding of underlying electronics to the point where it influences firmware development and debugging
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Familiarity with source control tools such as Git
• Experience, comfort, and creativity in the development scope outlined above
• Experience with Microsoft Azure is ideal
