Python Backend Developer

As a highly skilled Backend Developer with expertise in Python (Django REST or FastAPI), SQL, and microservices architecture, your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python (Django REST Framework or FastAPI). - Architect and optimize SQL database schemas and queries for performance and scalability. - Build and manage microservices to support modular, high-performing applications. - Apply GenAI expertise to integrate and optimize LLM-based solutions, including prompt design, fine-tuning, and API-driven workflows. - Ensure code quality, security, and compliance with best practices and industry standards. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Frontend, QA, Product, DevOps) for end-to-end solution delivery. - Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning of backend services. In order to qualify for this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications: - 5+ years of overall software development experience. - Minimum 2 years of hands-on Python backend development experience. - Strong expertise in Django REST Framework or FastAPI. - Proficiency with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar). - Proven experience in Generative AI (LLMs) including prompt engineering and fine-tuning models. - Solid understanding of microservices architecture and API-first design. - Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile delivery. Good to have: - Experience in U.S. healthcare domain and HIPAA-compliant application development. - Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). - Hands-on experience with containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). - Strong focus on application security and performance optimization.
