Python Automation Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain

  Python-based automation frameworks

  for mobile applications.
• Perform automated testing on

  Android and iOS platforms

  using tools like

  Appium, Selenium, PyTest

  , etc.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to define test strategies and create robust test coverage.
  
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with the engineering team to resolve issues.
  
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  
• Develop reusable test scripts and ensure scalability and maintainability of automation suites.
  
• Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, and QA documentation.
  
• Perform performance, regression, and smoke testing as required.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience

  in automation testing using

  Python

  .
• Strong expertise in

  mobile automation

  using

  Appium

  (Android).
• Solid understanding of

  mobile application architecture

  and QA best practices.
• Experience with

  PyTest/Unittest

  frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of

  Selenium WebDriver

  for web automation (added advantage).
• Experience working with

  ADB commands

  , Xcode tools, and mobile debugging tools.
• Proficiency with

  CI/CD tools

  such as Jenkins/GitLab/GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with

  version control

  (Git).
• Good understanding of REST APIs and API automation using Python.
  
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
