Company Description Purple Backyard is a distinguished interior design studio based in Mumbai, India, founded by Kumpal Vaid in 2011. We specialize in full-service interior design and build, along with spatial consulting for lifestyle and workspaces globally. Our portfolio includes diverse projects from offices to holiday homes, highlighting our design-intensive approach. With a team of 15 members and various collaborators, we craft introspective spaces with bespoke furniture, sculptural lighting, and art installations. In 2023, we launched PB Home to explore furniture and art, creating intuitive pièce de résistance. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in Mumbai for an Interior Designer. The Interior Designer will handle day-to-day tasks such as space planning, developing construction drawings, and collaborating on interior design projects. Responsibilities also include selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and working closely with architects and other team members to bring bespoke designs to life. Qualifications Expertise in Space Planning and Interior Design Experience with Architecture and developing Construction Drawings Proficiency in selecting and specifying FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work on-site in Mumbai and collaborate with a creative team Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field Experience in high-end residential and commercial projects is a plus
