Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchase executive (Freshers may also apply) - Catering for a Mumbai-based position. Candidates should have experience in the Purchase Department, preferably within the shipping or related industries. The role involves handling strategic procurement activities, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely, cost-effective sourcing of technical and operational supplies. Position: QCD Purchase Executive Location: Mumbai Responsibilities Receive food requisitions from the ships, analyze them and subsequently invite quotations from prospective vendors at the given port. Review vendor quotations, seek clarifications as necessary, negotiate on credit & supply terms, rebates, etc. & subsequently submit to the Catering Manager for approval. Issue Purchase Order to the chosen vendors in line with the final quantities approved and as per the pricing submitted. Follow up with vendors for additional prices & subsequently issued additional / supplementary orders. Qualifications Freshers with internship experience may apply.
