Purchase/Procurement Executive (Food Industry)

Job Description

Job Responsibilities: End-to-end procurement management for raw materials, ingredients, and consumables in the food industry (Bakery, Snacks/Namkeen, Agriculture, etc.). Vendor identification, evaluation, and onboarding to ensure a reliable supply chain. Sourcing, price negotiation, and contract management to secure cost-effective and quality purchases. Oversee logistics coordination, purchase orders (PO), invoicing, inventory tracking, and re-ordering to prevent shortages. Regular market visits to assess supplier pricing, quality standards, and emerging market trends. Packing material procurement (preferred but not mandatory). Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement while maintaining product quality standards. Develop long-term supplier relationships for consistent supply and better pricing. Monitor market price fluctuations and maintain cost-efficient procurement strategies. Coordinate with internal teams (production, quality, and finance) to meet purchasing requirements. Maintain accurate procurement records and reports for audits and analysis. Requirements: Minimum 4 years of experience in procurement within the food industry (Bakery, Snacks/Namkeen, Agri, etc.). Strong knowledge of supply chain management, vendor negotiations, and market analysis . Hands-on experience with inventory management and cost control . Ability to handle multiple suppliers and maintain an efficient procurement workflow . Comfortable communicating in Telugu (ethnicity does not matter).
