Job Description-Purchase Manager Position: Purchase Manager Reporting to: GM-Purchase Experience: 5 to 7 years Education: Any graduation A Purchase Manager manages multiple Purchase Officers and is responsible for day to day procurement and vendor relationship. Key responsibilities include (Not limited to): Coordinate with vendors and Purchase Executives on a day to day basis for timely delivery of materials at the site Source vendors in different regions and get quotations from them Get a blank BOQ from Tendering & Estimation after project award Start floating the inquiries with GFC drawings to vendors/suppliers to get competitive quantities, quotations, samples after project award Manage any escalations for speedy sample delivery, test certifications etc Check the rates with Tendering & Estimation and after their approval send samples to the site Get MRNs from site managers and start procuring items which are common items with rate contracts which are already approved by the management Check the vendor quotation against the BOQ specifications and proceed further with negotiations Send to Tendering & Estimation for their review and negotiate further if T&E gives a different pricing Track delivery of all Long Lead items and ensure that it is delivered to the site in time Get approvals from the billing team for all Non-Tender items and negotiate pricing on them Manage all escalations from Projects team and Management Check the accuracy of all POs below 1 lakh and approve them
