We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Purchase Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchase of goods and services for the organization. This role demands strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and vendors. Key Responsibilities: Procurement Management : Oversee the entire procurement process, from identifying requirements to purchasing and delivery of goods and services. Vendor Management : Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability. Maintain relationships with current vendors while continuously exploring new suppliers. Negotiation : Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards. Inventory Management : Monitor inventory levels and manage stock orders to ensure seamless operations without overstocking or stockouts. Order Processing : Ensure the timely placement of orders and follow up on the delivery schedule to meet production requirements. Quality Assurance : Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that purchased materials meet the company's standards and specifications. Budget Control : Assist in budget preparation, monitor procurement expenditures, and report on cost-saving initiatives. Compliance : Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and procurement standards while maintaining records of purchase transactions. Reporting : Provide regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost-saving measures. Required Skills & Qualifications: Education : Any Graduate; B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Experience : 3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Negotiation Skills : Strong negotiation skills with a focus on cost control and supplier relationship management. Knowledge : Good understanding of supply chain processes, purchasing systems, and inventory management. Technical Knowledge : Basic understanding of mechanical products or materials is preferred to ensure technical requirements are met. Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders. Problem-Solving : Ability to address issues with suppliers, resolve procurement challenges, and make quick decisions. Organizational Skills : Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Computer Skills : Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with procurement software or ERP systems. Preferred Skills: Experience in the mechanical or manufacturing industry. Familiarity with supply chain management software or ERP systems. Certification in supply chain or procurement management is a plus.
