Job Description

Purchase Ledger Clerk - salary range £29,000 - £31,000 per year

Location: Kingswinford, West Midlands

We are seeking a detail-orientated and organised Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our busy Finance team at our Head Office in Kingswinford. Working as part of a small team you will have responsibility for the efficient running of the purchase ledger ensuring purchase invoices, company expenses and supplier payment processes run smoothly.

What You Will Do

  • Daily processing of multi-currency purchase invoices including (with and without PO) coding and sending out for digital approval.
  • Setting up new vendor accounts in line with Stiltz onboarding policy.
  • Amending vendor account details in-line with company policy.
  • Reconciliation of vendor statements and chasing up missing invoices.
  • Holiday cover for other team members for certain tasks (BACS payments, expenses and ad-hoc supplier payments).
  • Work to month end deadlines.
  • Investigating and resolving vendor debit balances.
  • Ensuring vendor email box is dealt with promptly.
  • Ad hoc general accounting tasks.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts role.
  • Knowledge of basic VAT rules relating to the role.
  • Must have basic knowledge of accounting bookkeeping entries across all 3 ledgers (Nominal Ledger, Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger).
  • Experience of working with multi-currency invoices and making multi-currency payments.
  • Intermediary excel skills (e.g. pivot table, SUMIF, formulas).
  • Experience of working with B2B and B2C environment for a £25m+ business.
  • Have experience of working within an ERP system.
  • Highly numerate and accurate.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
