Job Description Company: Muthra Industries Private Limited Position: Purchase Executive Department: Sourcing Industry: Chemical Manufacturing Location: Head Office, Chennai. Job Summary: As a Purchase Executive specializing in the chemical industry, your role revolves around efficiently managing the procurement process of chemicals, raw materials, and related supplies necessary for the company's operations. You'll be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring materials while ensuring quality standards are met and costs are optimized. Roles & Responsibilities: Source & identify potential vendors for Chemical raw materials Food, Cosmetics, Pharma, Lubricants, Home applications, Plastics, Paint. Sending inquiries and collecting quotes from vendors upon receipt of Purchase Requisition Preparing comparative statement after proper analysis of offers, submit the final comparative statement to next level approval, upon carrying out first round of negotiation. Preparation of purchase orders, meeting the criteria of quality, price, timeliness, reliability, and the company’s standards. Obtain approval of purchase orders, email the PO to the supplier and follow up with the supplier to ensure timely delivery. Track orders for timely delivery. Any quality issues on supplier products to be taken up with supplier and get it replaced. To coordinate with logistics for material pickup/ collection. Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices. Collection of Vendor Qualification documents as per the requirements. Qualifications and Skills MBA in Marketing/Supply Chain Management. Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the chemical industry. Strong knowledge of chemical products, specifications, and market trends. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of regulatory compliance and safety standards in chemical procurement.
