Job Title: Executive Purchase (Chemicals) Company: Astral Limited Location: Ahmedabad Experience Required: 3-6 years in chemical procurement & SAP MM Job Description: Astral Limited is seeking a Purchase Executive with expertise in chemical procurement . The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of vendor management, sourcing strategies, and SAP MM for effective purchasing operations. Key Responsibilities: Chemical Procurement & Sourcing: Identify and source raw materials & chemicals from reliable suppliers. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to ensure cost efficiency. Ensure timely procurement to maintain uninterrupted production. Vendor Management & Coordination: Develop and maintain strong relationships with chemical suppliers . Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, pricing, and delivery timelines . Identify alternate suppliers to mitigate risks and ensure a smooth supply chain. SAP MM & Documentation: Process purchase orders (POs) in SAP MM and maintain accurate records. Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the inventory team for replenishment. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and regulatory requirements. Cost Optimization & Market Analysis: Track market trends, price fluctuations, and availability of chemicals. Optimize procurement costs without compromising quality. Key Skills & Attributes: Strong knowledge of chemical procurement & sourcing Experience with SAP MM (Mandatory) Excellent negotiation & vendor management skills Ability to analyze market trends & pricing strategies Strong documentation and coordination abilities Qualifications: Bachelors Degree 3-6 years of experience in chemical procurement Industry preference: Adhesives, Chemicals or Paints
