Public Relations Intern

Role Overview: As a PR Intern at Vishalakshi Foundation, you will play a crucial role in crafting compelling press releases, media pitches, and impact stories to raise awareness about the organization's mission of empowering underprivileged children through education and working towards a zero-hunger nation. You will work closely with the PR team to support media monitoring, coverage compilation, and media impact analysis. Additionally, you will be involved in organizing events, press conferences, and stakeholder outreach efforts. Your responsibilities will also include creating content for the website and social media platforms to amplify the foundation's message and collaborating with the Education & Nutrition teams to highlight powerful stories. Key Responsibilities: - Craft compelling press releases, media pitches, and impact stories - Support the PR team in media monitoring, coverage compilation, and media impact analysis - Assist in organizing events, press conferences, and stakeholder outreach - Create content for the website and social media platforms - Collaborate with Education & Nutrition teams to surface powerful stories Qualifications Required: - Current student or recent graduate in Communications, Journalism, PR, or related fields - Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills - Passion for social causes, particularly education and hunger alleviation - Organized, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively - Experience with press tools or media statistics is a plus, but enthusiasm is more important Additional Details: Vishalakshi Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged children through education and working towards a zero-hunger nation.
