If you are a self-starter, proactive, someone who looks to take initiative, and can thrive in a young, entrepreneurial environment, this role will be most suited for you, as you develop and grow your expertise in Public Relations.The Public Relations Account Manager would be responsible for supporting clients across various new and emerging Technology sectors and will be required to have a thorough understanding of these industries.Primary responsibilities for the Account Manager include and are not restricted to the following.Strategic Client management:· Independently manage client relationships and successfully develop and execute the client’s strategy and plan. · Responsible for all the tasks related to execution of the client’s PR plan and ensuring that all client outcomes are delivered in keeping with the company standards of quality, timeliness, and professionalism.· Expected to have a thorough understanding of the environment in which your client operates and use learnings to build new ideas. · Required to have good media relationships across all tech media and be able to leverage these relationships in servicing the clients.· Required to liaison with the client teams regularly and ensure client satisfaction. Responsible to ensure that all systems and processes are being followed on accounts including reviews, reports, monitors etc· Accountable for client satisfaction and must ensure any issues or conflicts or complex situations are immediately brought to the attention of senior management.· Strategic and analysis driven research into the media landscape to meet client requirements.Team Management · Required to manage, guide, and mentor teams.· Responsible for ensuring all client servicing resources have the knowledge and information required to service the client and ensure any development/training needs and performance feedback are brought to the attention of their direct managers. Required to create quality content and have good research skills. · Responsible for team reviews and appraisals through constructive and timely feedback· Build morale and bring the team together in the “new normal”.Business Development:· Supports new business development efforts· Become a subject matter expert on relevant client industry developments and market trends· Identify and pursue cross selling and up selling opportunities with existing clientsAdditional responsibilities:· Exhibit strong organizational skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality while juggling multiple channels of activity and a demonstrated ability to work independently, managing own time, and prioritizing effectively.· Maintaining familiarity with competitor products and projects and identifying opportunities to ensure our offering is distinct.· Other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time as required. Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesWe would like our ideal candidate to be someone who can demonstrate or possesses the following: • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Public Relations/ Communications/Media/Marketing• At least 6 yrs to 8 yrs of PR-related experience with adequate IT/ Tech industry working knowledge.Fluency in Telegu (reading, writing, speaking) is essential.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Telegu and English.• Effective communication skills to seamlessly collaborate across teams, media, and clients.• Take responsibility for overseeing junior teams, supervising defined projects, and assisting in supervision of personnel• Good working knowledge of contemporary media and its operations.• A thorough understanding of PR trends, media landscape and industry overview.• A creative mindset• Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage expectations• Ability to take the initiative and work collaborativelyLeadership / Cultural CompetenciesAlthough not a requirement, we are interested in candidates that have or identify with the following characteristics:• Is a self-starter and proactive who looks to take the initiative.• Does not need a lot of hand holding, and can thrive in a young, entrepreneurial environment.• Looks to ask questions / has a spirit of inquiry.• Ability to think strategically.• High-energy individual with strong work ethic, high expectations for performance, and who can lead by example.• Interpersonally savvy, relates well to people throughout the organization.Committed to building strong teams, developing solid relationships, and eliciting
