Public Area Attendant

As a Public Area Attendant in the Housekeeping department, your role involves maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and appearance of all public areas in the hotel to ensure a welcoming environment for guests and visitors. Key Responsibilities: - Clean and maintain hotel public areas including lobbies, restrooms, corridors, restaurants, and banquet halls. - Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish furniture and floors. - Restock supplies in public restrooms such as tissue, soap, and hand sanitizer. - Empty trash bins and handle waste disposal hygienically. - Spot-clean carpets, glass surfaces, and high-touch areas regularly. - Respond promptly to cleaning requests or spills in public areas. - Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or suspicious activity. - Maintain housekeeping carts and ensure proper storage of supplies. - Follow cleaning schedules and hotel SOPs for public area upkeep. - Greet guests courteously and offer assistance when needed. Qualifications Required: - High school diploma or equivalent preferred. - Experience in a housekeeping or janitorial role. - Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment. - Ability to work on foot for extended periods and perform physical tasks. - Attention to detail and awareness of safety and hygiene standards. - Reliable, punctual, and presentable. - Basic communication skills; ability to follow instructions.
