Job OverviewWe are looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth in the drone and agriculture industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships, selling drones and spraying services, and expanding franchise networks. This role requires expertise in business development, agriculture technology, and franchise management to scale Salam Kisans Drone-as-a-Service (DaaS) model.Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Drive sales and marketing for drones, soil testing, agro-chemicals, and farm produce procurement. Develop franchise models to expand Salam Kisan’s Drone-as-a-Service (DaaS) business. Identify and onboard drone franchise partners across key districts. Expand geographical footprint by identifying new markets and strategic alliances. Drive revenue generation through B2B, B2G and B2C partnerships with farmers, agribusinesses, and government entities. Franchise & Client Development Identify and appoint super franchise partners to own and manage fleets of drones. Build and execute after-sales support models for drone operation and maintenance. Conduct awareness programs and demonstrations to promote drone spraying services among farmers and agribusiness stakeholders. Collaborate with public and private sector entities to obtain licensing and approvals.Operations & Team Management Oversee drone repair, maintenance, and training programs for field operators. Track, monitor, and report employee performance and sales activities. Deploy manpower efficiently across different regions. Conduct training programs for dealers, distributors, and farmers to increase drone adoption.Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Aerospace, or Engineering. Master’s in Agri-Business Management (preferred). Experience: 3-5 years of experience in aviation, drone technology, agribusiness, or allied sectors. Experience in business development, sales, and operations management. Hands-on experience with agriculture drones, precision farming tools, and AI-powered solutions. Technical Skills: Knowledge of flight management, drone spraying operations, sales & after-sales support. Familiarity with AI-powered farm mapping, crop calendars, and precision agriculture. Experience in data analysis tools for agricultural insights and performance tracking.Communication & Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with farmers, franchise partners, and stakeholders. Strong presentation skills to conduct training, workshops, and awareness programs. Fluency in Marathi (preferred) along with English and Hindi.
