We are looking for an experienced Protection Engineer who has practical exposure in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting protection relays across transmission and distribution systems. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with relays from major OEMs such as ABB, Siemens, Schneider, GE, SEL, or Micom and strong technical understanding of power system protection schemes.

• Perform testing, commissioning, configuration, and troubleshooting of protection relays including:
• EOC/EF Relays (Earth Overcurrent / Earth Fault)
• Line Differential Protection Relays
• Transformer Differential Relays
• Distance Protection Relays
• Execute secondary injection testing, relay logic testing, and trip circuit verification.
• Review and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, protection philosophies, and SLDs.
• Prepare and maintain detailed testing reports, relay settings documentation, and calibration records.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, utilities, OEMs, and site teams during testing and commissioning.
• Support root cause analysis (RCA) of tripping events and protection-related faults.
• Ensure compliance with relevant IEC/IS/IEEE protection standards and safety requirements.

• Strong knowledge of power system protection concepts.
• Practical working experience with numerical relays from ABB, Siemens, Schneider, etc.
• Ability to operate testing equipment such as Omicron, Megger, ISA, or equivalent kits.
• Strong understanding of CT/PT connections, communication schemes, SCADA signaling, and logic configuration.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
