Role & responsibilities Spruce is looking to expand its proposal team with Proposal Writer/ Proposal Coordinator who has experience responding to RFPs from State government/ Commercial sector. Excellent writing skills and organizational skills are essential. This position reports to the department head and collaborates with other proposal managers, technical subject matter experts, the contracts department, and senior members of the Business Development and Professional Services & Solutions teams. Preferred candidate profile 4-6 years of experience as a proposal writer and proposal manager for government RFPs (state/local/commercial sector RFP experience required. Proven ability to write compelling, clear, sales-oriented documents about technical subjects Experience with proposals in Information Technology services or related industry Degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field Self-starter with the ability to work independently with a high volume of assignments in an agile environment Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including business/technical team members across the Company and outside partners and procurement contacts Excellent English written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat Draft content for proposals, including executive summary, win themes, approach and methodology, and company/staff qualifications Review, edit, and synthesize content from various sources (including existing boilerplate and new content from subject matter experts) to present a cohesive narrative with a clear message Manage the RFP response process for assigned RFPs, including proposal timeline and task management, coordination with SMEs, proofreading, formatting, and proposal production and submission Perks and benefits
