Proposal Engineer - Industrial Automation

As an Engineering professional in Kochi, Kerala, your role will involve developing optimum solutions based on customer RFQ/tender documents. This includes generating BOQ and cost estimates, designing system architecture and BOM using different architecture development software, and conducting assessments to comprehensively analyze customer requirements and constraints. You will also be responsible for determining the scope of the RFQ/Tender, attending Prebid meetings, coordinating with Suppliers/OEM/Subcontractors, and supporting the sales team with estimations and technical data. Key Responsibilities: - Develop optimum solutions based on customer RFQ/tender documents - Generate BOQ and cost estimates - Design system architecture and BOM using different architecture development software - Conduct assessments to analyze customer requirements - Determine the scope of the RFQ/Tender - Attend Prebid meetings and clarify queries during tendering process - Coordinate with Suppliers/OEM/Subcontractors for Price quotes - Support sales team with estimations and technical data Qualifications Required: - Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering or any relevant field - 2 to 5+ years of experience in Estimation/Engineering for Industrial Control & Automation Systems - Proficiency in designing projects based on PLC, RTU, SCADA & HMI Systems - Familiarity with Industrial Communication Protocols (Modbus RTU/TCP-IP, Profibus/Profinet etc.) - Knowledge of Communication Networks (Ethernet, Fiber Optic, RS232, RS485 etc.) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in a cross-functional environment - Knowledge of PLC/SCADA programming will be an added advantage This role offers you the opportunity to apply your engineering expertise in developing solutions for industrial control and automation systems.
