Proposal Engineer

• To receive and record formal Enquiries (RFQs) from potential customers (from Sales RFPs) promptly and accurately analyzing the base requirements.
• To effectively develop the base format of the Proposal document (e.g.: process, scope, assumptions, exclusions)
• To provide timely and effective assistance in the preparation of the Estimate associated with the RFQ as required, including:
• Preparing, issuing, the appropriate technical enquiries with Purchasing support
• Analyze the feedback from Comaus vendors, providing technical approval
• To prepare, to the required standard and within timescale, the final documentation for authorization of the project internally and for submission to the client (M230)
• To accurately maintain all necessary internal records relating to proposals, estimated costs, supporting documentation and drawings, including details of orders acquired as a result of proposals. (E.G.: Offer Database,)
• To provide effective assistance with liaison with the potential customer at all stages of the Proposals process.
• Upon receipt of a customer order, to collate all necessary technical and commercial data, to convene the Sales Handover meeting and to participate in the cascading of data to Project Team personnel. (from M1000 to M400)
• Correct reporting and maintenance of files, folders and other records associated with commercial activities

Qualifications

• Education :
• General Engineering knowledge or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineer
• Previous experiences
• Preferred experience in Engineering department (E.G :Technical Leader)
• Languages
