About the Role:

We’re looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Proofreader to review high-impact, infographic-heavy documents tailored for the aspirants preparing for the UPSC civil services exam. These materials are designed to communicate complex ideas in a concise and visually engaging format. Your job is to catch errors in grammar, punctuation, syntax, and data labeling, while ensuring that text and visuals are in perfect alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

● Review infographic documents (PDFs, slides, digital reports) for:

○ Spelling, grammar, punctuation, and consistency

○ Accuracy of data labels, captions, legends, and headings

○ Text-visual alignment and logical flow of content

● Collaborate with designers and content creators to suggest clear and concise language improvements

● Ensure tone, style, and terminology are appropriate for the target audience

● Flag inconsistencies in formatting, fonts, spacing, and layout as needed

● Conduct final quality checks before materials are published or sent to stakeholders

Requirements:

● Proven experience in proofreading or copy editing, preferably for design-heavy or visual content (infographics, reports, presentations)

● Strong grasp of grammar, syntax, and editorial style

● Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with complex visual formats

● Familiarity with tools like Adobe Acrobat, Canva, or PowerPoint is a plus

● Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team (content, design, marketing)

Preferred Skills (not mandatory):

● Background in journalism, publishing, or communications

● Basic understanding of data visualization or design principles

● Experience with proofreading multilingual content (optional)

● Experience with the UPSC civil services exam oriented content
