Key ResponsibilitiesText & Language Accuracy

• Check for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and typographical errors.
• Ensure consistency in tense, voice, and style across the manuscript.
• Verify adherence to house style guide (fonts, capitalization, abbreviations, references).

Formatting & Layout Checks

• Ensure correct alignment, line spacing, margins, and indentation.
• Review headers, footers, page numbers, TOC, footnotes, and endnotes.
• Check for widows/orphans, extra spaces, and misplaced breaks.

Content Consistency

• Cross-check names, facts, dates, figures, citations, and references.
• Ensure consistency in terminology, spelling (UK/US English), and style choices.
• Verify that captions match images, charts, or illustrations.

Pre-Publication Review

• Proofread final page layouts (PDF) after DTP stage.
• Check for formatting issues introduced during typesetting.
• Ensure corrections from editors/authors are properly applied.
