Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Proofreader to join our team as a freelancer. The ideal candidate will have excellent reading comprehension skills and the ability to work independently.

Roles and Responsibility

Review and edit documents, reports, and other written materials for accuracy, grammar, and punctuation.
Conduct thorough research to verify information and ensure compliance with company standards.
Collaborate with writers and designers to develop high-quality content that meets project requirements.
Utilize expertise in English language and grammar to identify errors and provide constructive feedback.
Develop and implement effective proofreading strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Job Requirements

Proven experience as a proofreader or editor with a strong portfolio of work.
Excellent command over the English language, including grammar, syntax, and punctuation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Familiarity with style guides and publishing software is an asset.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise feedback.
