Position Overview: Will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of project planning and control activities. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the chemical process industry and a proven track record of managing complex projects. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure alignment with business goals. Utilize project management software to create and maintain project schedules. Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, forecasting, and financial reporting. Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures to ensure projects stay within budget. Analyze variances and take corrective actions as needed. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management plans. Monitor and report on risk status throughout the project lifecycle. Resource Management: Allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials. Ensure optimal utilization of resources to maximize project efficiency. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve resource conflicts. Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress against established milestones and timelines. Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of project activities. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed industry standards. Conduct project audits and inspections to verify compliance with quality requirements. Address any quality issues promptly and effectively. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams. Facilitate project meetings and ensure all parties are informed of project developments. Address stakeholder concerns and feedback in a timely manner. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Strong understanding of chemical process operations and safety regulations. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
